About Tetris

Tetris was invented by Soviet software engineer Alexey Pajitnov in 1984 and quickly became one of the best-selling video games of all time. Seven differently shaped pieces called tetrominoes fall from the top of the playfield. Arrange them to complete full horizontal lines, which then disappear, earning you points.

How to Play

  • ← → Arrow keys move the piece left and right
  • ↑ rotates the falling piece, ↓ soft-drops it faster
  • Space instantly drops the piece to the bottom
  • P pauses and resumes the game
  • Clear multiple lines at once for bonus points
  • The game speeds up as your level increases
